Stack: turn your photos, clips or any layers into cards that land on the beat

The Stack rig turns selected layers into cards that land one after another: a pile, a 3D deck, a carousel, a contact sheet, a slot reel and more, with arrivals, rhythms and exits.

A camera roll dump, a product's feature screens, a lineup of artists: lots of content is really a set of cards. The Stack rig takes any layers you choose and deals them out like cards, with real weight and timing. The deck at the top of kubrick.studio is a Stack.

How to use it

Select the layers you want in the stack: photos, video clips, text, even other rigs. Then open Rigs in the toolbar and add Stack (under Objects). Your layers become its cards, in order.

Four choices

Layout, where the cards end up: pile, deck, row (with words on either side, so the cards sit inside a sentence), tunnel, carousel, table, contact sheet, orbit, tower or slot reel.

Arrival, how each card comes in: settle, slap, drop, toss, flip, swipe, peel, assemble or glitch.

Rhythm, when they come: in bursts, steady, accelerating, or on the beat of your song.

Exit, what happens to the cards already down: keep them, recycle them, burst them away or collapse the stack.

That's a lot of combinations, so both dice are there to roll through them, and presets give you good starting points.

Ideas

  • A photo dump for Reels: a pile of photos slapping down on every kick, recycled so it never runs out.
  • A feature tour: product screenshots in a 3D deck, flipping forward one by one.
  • A lineup: artist photos in a slot reel that lands on the headliner.
  • "Made with ___" with the cards in a row inside the sentence, cycling through what fills the blank.
